Bow Tie Bake

This is a hearty pasta dish and very flavorful. One of our all time favorites!


  • 2 Cups uncooked Bow Tie pasta
  • 1 Pound lean ground beef
  • 1 Cup sliced fresh mushrooms, divided
  • 1/2 Cup diced onion
  • 1/2 Cup diced green pepper
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 Teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 1/2 Teaspoon granulated onion
  • 1/4 Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 3/4 Cups shredded Mozzarella, divided
  • 1/4 Cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided


Preheat oven to 350*. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain.

In a large skillet, cook beef with 1/2 the mushrooms, onion and green pepper until the beef is no longer pink. Stir in seasonings and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, cover for 15 minutes.

Put pasta in a greased 8-in pan. Top with meat sauce and remaining mushrooms. Sprinkle with half the Mozzarella and half the Parmesan.

Bake, covered 35 minutes. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheeses and place back in the oven for 10 minutes or until all cheese is melted.
