Easy Mac and Cheese


  • 1 Pound of elbow macaroni or any pasta of your choice
  • 4 Tablespoons butter
  • 4 Tablespoons flour
  • 3 Cups whole milk
  • 4 Cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • ½ Teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ Teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ Cup minced onions


Cook macaroni and drain.

Combine butter and flour in a large saucepan to make a roux. Cook for about 3 minutes to take the flour taste away. Pour in the milk and stir until thickened.

Add the pasta back into the pan and stir.

Add onion, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cheese. Cook until cheese is melted.

Put in a greased 9×13 baking dish and bake at 325 for 40 minutes or until bubbly.
