Goulash

Goulash

This is not the goulash you might remember from the school cafeteria-thank goodness!

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound ground beef
  • 1 Medium onion, diced
  • ½ Cup celery, diced
  • ½ Cup carrots, diced
  • 1 Teaspoon minced garlic
  • ½ Teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 Teaspoon paprika
  • 1 Teaspoon salt
  • ½ Teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can of tomato sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 Cups beef broth
  • 4 Ounces cream cheese
  • 1 Pound Ziti pasta or your favorite pasta
  • ¼ Cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

Cook pasta according to package directions and drain. Brown beef with onions, carrots, celery and garlic. Add the caraway seeds, paprika, salt, pepper, tomato sauce, tomato paste, beef broth and cream cheese. Cook until cheese is melted. Stir in the pasta and heat for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve in a bowl sprinkling parsley on top.
