Hearty Beef Stew


  • 1 Pound of stew beef
  • 1 cup of all- purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 (32oz) container of beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 large onion- diced
  • 2 large carrots- diced
  • 2 large russet potatoes-diced
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 handful of chopped fresh parsley


In a plastic bag combine flour, salt, pepper and beef. Shake to coat beef then shake off excess flour.

In a large pot heat the olive oil and place the beef in the hot oil. Brown the meat until no longer pink. Add beef broth, veggies, bay leaves and wine. Simmer until veggies are tender-approx 45 minutes. Serve in a bowl and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley.
