MACARONI SALAD

MACARONI SALAD

This is not your typical salad. It is on the sweet side but oh, so good. The recipe came from my dad’s recipe file. Since her is no longer with us, we don’t know where he got it.

Ingredients

1 pound of elbow macaroni, cooked, rinsed and drained

1 large green pepper, diced

1 medium onion, diced

2 carrots, shredded

1 can of sweetened condensed milk EAGLE BRAND MILK(not Carnation)

1 cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup granulated sugar

2 cups mayo

1t. salt

1/2t. pepper

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, green peppers. onions and carrots.

In another bowl, combine the milk, vinegar, sugar, mayo, salt and pepper.Stir together and pour over the macaroni mixture. Chill for about 4 hours but overnight is bset.
