SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES

Ingredients

2-3/4 cups sifted flour                2 eggs

2t. cream of tartar                    1t/ baking soda

1/2t. salt                                  1 cup soft shortening

1-1/2 cups sugar                   2T.  sugar                                 2T cinnamon

 

Instructions

Sift together flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.

Cream shortening and gradually add 1-12c sugar and eggs.

Stir in dry ingredients.

Chill dough for 2 hours. Form into balls the size of small walnuts. In a bowl combine 2T sugar and 2T cinnamon. Roll each ball in this mixture.

Place on an ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart.

 

Bake at 400* for 8-10 minutes.

Makes about 5 dozen.
