This was by far our most sold panini when we had our café. It is still my husband’s favorite!
- 2 Square ciabatta buns- these can be found at most groceries
- Sliced turkey
- Sliced Swiss cheese
- Sliced red onion
- Slices of roasted red pepper- these can be found in most groceries
- Jar of pesto
Split the ciabatta buns in half. Spread the pesto on the top bun. On the bottom bun, layer the turkey, cheese, onion and red pepper. Put the 2 halves together.
Place in your panini press and bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until the buns are toasted.
If you do not have a panini press, heat a heavy skillet to med high heat. Place the paninis in the skillet and put another heavy pan on top to press down. You may have the weight the top skillet with a couple of cans. Toast for about 3 minutes or until the buns are lightly toasted.
Cut in half and enjoy!
